Bhuvana. I dont know how to start up and how to address you so the formal
beginning.
I am ,
mother of two children( 7 years, 4 years) living in Singapore. Working women.
seldom find time to read books and novels. in my college days i used to stick
with Balakumaran and Sujatha. but i haven't read Balakumaran's Udayar yet. i
read your vishnupuram in my college days. at that age i read that novel only by
the urge of finish it off. i dint get the meaning and all. "mila" the
animal name, i couldn't find what animal was that. first two three pages one
hunter will be hunting that animal. that disturbed me too much. but one thing i
need to accept, though i dint get the meaning understand the philosophical
thoughts etc., but the book i never put it down.though it was heavy to carry i
carried it everywhere, to my
college,tuition centers computer classes even while i am eating ,i simply lived
with it. again i admit i dint get the meaning. even i read it now i think i
wont understand, i think there must be some peaceful mind to get the stuff. but
there is something in your novels that drives me to read, may be the way of
writing or else. it never let me put down the stuff.
i have
read another book of yours too. It is about all Malayali writers. Unbaised one.
And very sorry that the title of the book i have forgotten. while i went
to India I came across the weeklies, vikatan or kumudam read your interview
that you were writing on line .at that time too i dint give much importance to
that.
while
return back to Singapore and my kids started watching Mahabharata on vijay
tv i also stuck with them(Mothers!!!).i thought how come a man like bhismer can
live without any disturbance since Ambai is too beautiful why he resists so
many questions... then i remembered you were writing . i dint even
remember the name venmurasu and all. but goggled mahabharatham and
jeyamohan , of course i reached it.i have started with a feeling of i can not
get it, coz naveena illakiyam is not my stuff. i am too ordinary. the
novel trashed all my fears and all.
i loved
it like anything everyday in the midst of my works i can read only two
pagams.but as you said i may take 10 years to finish it off. i may take
10 more years to read if. but i will read it. now i am reading only ( nool
1.muthal kanal, paguthi 9 adin azham.) i never penned to any writer and shared
the thoughts. coz i really worried that intellectual people can not get
layman level of thinking.
still
don't know whether you may read this or not.but thank you for
writing venmurasu. instead of saying ambai vanulagu senral it is acceptable
that she went mad after bhismers rejection then went to forest. that may be
true also. may be nowadays we want everything true and practical. that
makes venmurasu as most acceptable one.
